DICK combi sharpening steel combines 2 sharpening steels in one - it sharpens and polishes, depending on which side you use. Two sides with a sapphire surface which is very fine are suitable for everyday maintain the edge of all types of knives. With extremely hard knives, the sapphire surface is used to get a finer edge which was sharpened using hard surface sharpening steels, e.g. titanium or diamond. Two polishing sides are used to smoothen and polish the edge after sharpening. Thanks to polishing, the knife edge stays sharp longer. The design handle has a steel guard protecting you against injury when sharpening knives.
