The F. DICK Red Spirit Chopping is the sturdier sibling of the previous Slicing model. The wide, more substantial 18-cm blade is designed for more vigorous work—it’s perfect for chopping vegetables and herbs, as well as cutting larger pieces of meat.
Thanks to its weight of about 400 g, the knife does some of the work for you while chopping. The wide blade also serves as a practical “spatula,” allowing you to easily transfer chopped ingredients from the cutting board. Compared to the 8170518 Slicing model, this version is heavier and specifically designed for chopping—chopping and more forceful processing of ingredients.
The blade is made of X55CrMo14 high-alloy stainless steel and has a hardness of approximately 56 HRC. The distinctive round red Red Spirit handle fits comfortably in your hand, and its non-slip design provides a secure grip even during more intense work.
