The KAI Shun Premier Tim Mälzer TDM-1784 is an exclusive, limited-edition Kiritsuke knife created to mark the 13th anniversary of the collaboration between the KAI brand and Chef Tim Mälzer. In Japan, the number 13 is associated with good luck, which is why this special edition was named “The Lucky Number.”
Only 5,555 pieces were produced worldwide, making the TDM-1784 not only a top-of-the-line kitchen tool but also an intriguing collector’s item.
The knife features a 15 cm long Kiritsuke-shaped blade, which is ideal for precise slicing, portioning, and preparing meat, fish, and vegetables.
A matte handle was used specifically for this anniversary edition, which differs from the classic design of the Shun Premier Tim Mälzer series and gives the knife an elegant and modern look.
The blade features a special “13 – The Lucky Edition” marking, and each individual knife bears a unique serial number on the bolster.
Blade: 32-layer Damascus steel with a VG-MAX core | Handle: walnut (matte finish, unlike the rest of the series)
